The Seeker’s Omnibus

Thanks to the infinitely-connected MaryD at AUSXIP, there’s a bit of news about Michael Hurst showing up in LotS. (He played Iolaus in “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” and in “Xena:Warrior Princess” – among other roles – and directed quite a few of the episodes of both shows.)

Gotta say I’m thrilled about this. Not only do I love him as a director, but I adore him as an actor. He’s so accomplished! And honestly, IMHO, what a hottie. I got to meet him in person at a Xena convention in San Francisco back in 1997, and he just made me go all gooey inside. (insert breathy “hubba hubba!” here) I couldn’t manage more than a quiet “Hi, how are you?” while shaking his hand.

Michael is playing the evil wizard Amfortas in episode 12 of the new American tv series Legend of the Seeker, produced by Disnery/ABC Studios and Ghost House Pictures, which is being filmed in New Zealand. He also directed episodes 8 (”Denna”, scheduled to air 10 January 2009) and 10 (”Sacrifice”).
