The Seeker’s Omnibus

The first season of the sexy syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker, based on Terry Goodkind’s popular “Sword of Truth” books, comes to its exciting conclusion this weekend (check your local listings for times). Bridget Regan, who plays sword-wielding hottie Kahlan—a woman with the enviable power to make men confess—takes the time to divulge some secrets of her own.

Kahlan is pretty badass!
[Laughs] I’m fighting large men like three times a week. Certainly, I’m not scared of bumps in the night anymore. I feel like I could take a guy. I feel pretty tough!

There must be times where you wish you had her confessor power…
Oh my gosh, absolutely not! I think about it often and at first it sounds really great, bending anyone to your will, but the mythology of it is a bit more complicated than that. The character that I play, she’s proud to be who she is, but at the same time it’s a burden, because it’s almost like being a judge or holding someone’s life in your hands. You want to do the right thing—you’re responsible for these people.
